Tower Parkour Shooter

This Game was made in 16 weeks with around 25 people and I did 3D modeling, texturing and basic animation

This was a game made for a minor in my education in 3th year of CMGT. It is a game where you need to get to the top of the tower and on your way there you need to fight enemies. I created the models for the gun, bell enemy and ink bottle.

The bell enemy was one of the most updated, tested and redesigned models of the enemies for the game. Before starting this project I had no previous knowledge of how to animate, except for a few small models I made like a walking four legged tiny robot. First I created the moodboard and sketches, eventually choosing one main sketch and combining it with parts of other sketches. Than I started on creating the model. At first the model looked really good, but had too much detail, which I later reduces a lot. After having made the first model I started rigging and animating the model to see how I needed to update the bell enemy. I removed a lot of the detail made using polygons and added more detail using Substance painter and painting the detail into the model itself. After having tested it with multiple people, I updated the model and animations to fit more with the game and make it easier for the Programmers to use a state system for the enemy. I created 3 animations and used the look at function in Unity for all the states and attacks. The attack was pretty simple, it needed to open its mouth and shoot teeth at the player.

I also created the model for the gun that is used by the main character. I used the same steps that I used to create the bell enemy and game the design team multiple different texture choices for the gun.

The ink bottle I created pretty quickly, but still ran into some problems with the texturing like having to use 2 materials on the model to make 1 part transparent and the other solid. This was because we didn't use alpha texturing in the game.
